Membership

Why Membership

Jesus is committed to the church. Ephesians 5:25 “Christ loved the church and gave His life for her.”  Membership in a local church is an important step in visibly demonstrating our commitment to Christ and His church.  Membership reflects what the church is…a body of believers.  We can do more to shape the culture with the Gospel when we do so together.  We believe that
1 Corinthians 12:12-27 states this beautifully.  In this verse Paul states that body parts are of little use on their own, but when we join together as the whole body of Christ we can accomplish great things for His Kingdom.

Who Can Become a Member

Membership is open to anyone who has made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  During the response time at the end of each service, you can come forward to share your desire to become a part of Blanchard First with one of the ministerial staff, or you can schedule a meeting with one of them during the week by filling out the form below.

Four Ways to Become a Member

By Salvation & Believer's Baptism

This is for anyone who is making a commitment to Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord through repentance and faith.

By Transferring Membership from another SBC Church

You have already made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and have been publicly baptized by immersion according to the teaching of Scripture and are a member in good standing at another Southern Baptist Church.

By Statement of Your Faith in Jesus Christ

This is for people whose prior membership was at a church that isn’t Southern Baptist. In order to join by statement, you must have already been baptized by immersion as a testimony of your faith.

By Baptism

This is for people who have already made a personal commitment to Christ, but have not yet been baptized by immersion in accordance with the teaching of the Bible.
